Spicy Honey Mustard Ham Pie
Our Hot Honey Mustard Ham Pie recipe delivers a tasty filling of ham, potatoes, and peas in a sweet and spicy honey sauce - it's comfort food at it's best!
For this ham pie recipe we used a generous helping of our Simple Habanero Mustard Hot Sauce.
It's a wild hot mustard sauce with a strong black pepper and garlic finish.
Nothing turns a traditional ham recipe on its head like it!
Pie crust (top and bottom)
3 cups water
3 tbsp flour
3 tsp chicken stock
¼ cup Simple Habanero Mustard Hot Sauce
¼ cup honey
1 tsp black pepper
2 cup diced, cooked ham
1 ½ cup diced par-boiled potatoes
1 ½ cup diced celery
1 ½ cup peas
For the Sauce
For the Filling
Preheat oven to 400°F
Unroll pie crust, press into pie pan
Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a frying pan, add the filling and fry for 5 mins.
Whisk all sauce ingredients together and add to the filling mixture, cook until it starts to thicken.
Add mixture to pie shell and cover with the top of the pie crust.
Bake at 400°F 25 minutes or until golden brown.
