Sweet, spicy, creamy, and crunchy–this recipe by @lindsaymustard has it all. Sourdough toast gets topped with warm goat cheese, pecans, coconut sugar, and cinnamon, then finished with a drizzle of our Candied Jalapeño Hot Sauce for the perfect kick.
Ingredients
-
3 slices sourdough toast
-
1 tsp olive oil
-
3 oz goat cheese, cut into discs
-
2 tbsp pecans, chopped
-
1 tbsp coconut sugar
-
1⁄2 tsp cinnamon
-
Pinch of sea salt
-
1 tbsp Maritime Madness Candied Jalapeño Hot Sauce
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the bread on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 5 minutes in the oven or until the bread starts to brown on the edges. You don’t want it fully toasted, just the bottom!
Layer with goat cheese, pecans, a sprinkle of coconut sugar, cinnamon and sea salt.
Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the goat cheese is melted and the coconut sugar turns into a syrup-like consistency.
Remove from the oven, drizzle with MM Candied Jalapeño Hot Sauce and serve!
