When I want flavor, there are a ton of sauces out there. But, when I want serious heat, where the heck do I find it in local markets. Over the (many) years of being a hot sauce lover, I have developed a reasonably high tolerance. This is unfortunate as everything says it's hot, but, to me it might as well be catsup. Or worse, just vinegar with colouring! One day I happened to be at my local Art Knapp (in Richmond BC) looking over their large display of sauces, being entertained by the colourful names/labels when I saw the Maritime Madness line of sauces. I saw the 12/10 heat scale on The Giver' Sauce and was skeptical, but, gave it a try. I'm happy to say The Giver' Sauce is as advertised! The best scolville to volume to $$ ratio ever as well! Maybe second only to The Ultimate Giver' Sauce! Haha. I did try a bottle of the Ultimate later on, and will say I stepped back down to the plain old Giver'. I got used to it, but, didn't really need that much heat yet. I am very content in knowing I still have somewhere to go when the time comes step up the heat again. Since the local supply is no longer selling Giver' (it seems anyway), I'm on my second liter ordered online. Much more cost effective this way in the long run, anyway. Especially now with the "free shipping"!
As that other commercial goes "I put that sh*t on everything!", I seriously do and it goes a LONG way. Get it! ... Got it?! ... Gooood!
